Dark

There was once a cowardly shark,
Who was quite afraid of the dark;
He did all that he could, to kindle some wood,
But he failed to flicker a spark.

Sketchbook Show and Tell #5: Skyscraper Drawings

One of my favorite pastimes is keeping up with urban design and urban transit news here in California. I am a regular subscriber and sometimes contributor to http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/ Back in 1999/2000 I did a lot of sketches of fantasy skyscrapers. Here are a few of my more interesting designs, all of which have a definite art deco or art modern influence. My tastes in architecture have thankfully grown and expanded since making these drawings. Still it's fun too look back on what I thought was "ideal". Hope you enjoy.

The Overused Blues

Oh lord, I ain't got no good news,
I'm still singing the overused blues,
Yes I've sang 'em before, Now I'll sing 'em once more,
While I sip on some really cheap booze.

Obsession

Pious Paul revealed in his confession,
He feels guilt from an act of transgression;
After every "Amen", He grabs a black pen,
and indulges his drawing obsession.
